The Basement at Bunyan Art Gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and we would love for you to celebrate with us.

Brought to you by Anne-Marie Abbate & Fiona Wilson BEDFORD TEN is open to all Bedfordshire based artists aged 16+.

We invite you to take part and have you work displayed at The Basement alongside emerging and established local artists.

Every artist is guaranteed to be included in the exhibition.

Theme

The theme of the exhibition is ‘ten (10)’ – Artists are free to interpret the theme as they see fit, we welcome artists from all disciplines including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and textiles. Ai artworks will not be accepted.

It is £10 to enter an original artwork and we invite all artists to submit one piece that is guaranteed to be included in the exhibition.

Submit up to 10 prints for an additional £10 which will be displayed and for sale throughout the exhibition.

Up to 10 greetings cards can be also be submitted for sale, free of charge.

Entry payment to be made on delivery of the work, by cash or card.

  • Entries close - Sunday 5th July

  • Artwork drop off - Friday 10th July – 1pm – 3.30pm & Saturday 11th July – 10-12pm

  • Exhibition opens - Wednesday 15 July

  • Exhibition Private View - Tuesday 14 July - 6-8pm

  • Exhibition closes - Saturday 1 August - 4pm

  • Artwork collection - Saturday 1 August - 4-6pm or Monday 3rd - 9-11am

❋ KEY DATES 

All work will be for sale with a 25% commission taken on sales made.

Please include the sales price on your entry.

In the event of a sale, we will notify the artist and request an invoice less the 25% commission fee.

❋ SALES
❋ TERMS & CONDITIONS 

Artists must be based in Bedfordshire.

All work must be for sale.

Please be mindful as a Community Art Gallery we are unable to accept artworks with offensive, derogatory or political content. We reserve the right to refuse work of this nature.

Maximum size for 2D works is 1m x 1m.

All 2D artworks must be ready to hang and fitted with D rings and cord.

3D works should be freestanding, have a base no larger than 30 x 30 cm and not exceed 100cm in height.

Artists retain the copyright of the work and all reproduction rights except for the following limited rights granted to the Gallery: Reproduction in the Exhibition catalogue (if applicable) and reproduction for use in publicity materials for the exhibition.

❋ PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD

A prize will be awarded to the most popular piece as voted by visitors to the exhibition.

As a community gallery we are asking for exhibitors to help invigilate the show, please offer your time, if possible and indicate your availability on your entry form. Shift times are 11am-1.30pm and 1.30pm-4pm daily.
