Curation

Anne-Marie curates exhibitions and activities at The Basement at Bunyan Art Gallery - the only community art gallery in Bedford, Bluebell Gallery at Bedford Hospital and provides curatorial services to museums and galleries.

Bluebell Gallery

Anne-Marie founded Bluebell Gallery at Bedford Hospital in 2016 to introduce art to the general public and distract staff, visitors and patients from grief. The gallery exhibits local artists’ work along with art created by NHS staff and is inspired by, and dedicated to, the memory of her mother Rita who worked at the hospital as a Midwife for many years. She was thrilled to be able to create a new gallery space in the heart of the hospital.

The Basement at Bunyan

Anne-Marie has curated and co-ordinated The Basement at Bunyan Art Gallery in Bedford since 2019. It is the only community art gallery in Bedford and runs a very full schedule exhibiting work by individuals and groups from across Europe. Art workshops are also regularly delivered.

Guest curator

Anne-Marie often guest curates for museums and galleries including assisting with the curation of the heritage airship exhibition Airship Dreams in 2021 and Homeless Partnership Awareness 2019 at The Higgins museum in Bedford. She also hosts and curates her own exhibitions including Mail Art - a travelling art exhibition in 2012 funded by Bedford Creative Arts.
